Macro Organizers was created by teachers, Don and Donna Grossarth. Both currently teach for the Salem-Keizer School District in Salem, Oregon. Don holds a BS from the University of Oregon and graduated in 1996 with a Masters in the Art of Teaching from Willamette University in Salem. His graduate project was Student Success and the Optimal Classroom. Don has taught adults and children since 1992 in a variety of settings and currently teaches at a middle school in Salem, Oregon. As Don did his graduate work, the concept of bringing together a system of organization for students took hold. Donna holds an Associates Degree from Chemeketa Community College and a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education from Western Baptist College. She has taught fourth grade at McKinley Elementary in Salem for the past seven years. Don and Donna have studied learning styles for several years. Through their studies they have been able to create an approach that is both developmentally appropriate and highly successful. Don and Donna have been married for 18 years and have three wonderful daughters. They happily make their home in Salem, Oregon. |
